First Prize is an Instructional Field Experience to Sea World San Antonio
The winning school (collecting the most pounds of aluminum per capita) will be
awarded an Instructional Field Experience to Sea World San Antonio in November.
The field experience will begin with arrival to Sea World at 9:30 am. Sea World
will not be open to the public on this special day of rewarding the winner’s
recycling efforts. Your tour of Sea World's animal habitats & exhibits will
enable you to learn about dolphins, sea lions, fish, sharks, penguins & beluga
whales. Lunch break is at 11:15 am (bring a sack lunch & drink, remember the
park is closed to the public) and then it is off to the Shamu Theatre at High
Noon. Here you will see a special presentation about killer whales. Next, you
are off to the Sea Lion Stadium. This special presentation will offer all kinds
of facts about sea lions, walrus and otters! Your exciting trip to Sea World
San Antonio will end at 1:30 pm. (Transportation to and from the park is not
included in the prize and must be arranged by the recipient of the prize
package.)
Second prize is a Visit from the Sea World San Antonio Animal Encounters Team
Sea World San Antonio Team members and special animal ambassadors will
visit your school. They will deliver an exciting educational message about
environmental issues including recycling and conservation.
